DO NOT CLICKget the transaction report The Pittsfield Cooperative Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2009, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules. After December 31, 2009, funds held in noninterest-bearing accounts will no longer be guaranteed in full under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program, but will be insured up to $250,000.00 under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules. Account balances in excess of $250,000.00 are insured IN FULL by the Share Insurance Fund (SIF).
